Nov. 19th, 2013 11:49 pmGood day. Got to the studio, worked. Lecture, demo, more work. Watched people who skipped lecture and demo, get head of line when metal was being signed out. Arseholes.
Got into it with a ridiculous rude, bigot teabagger who claims the US is too socialist for her, and canada has no freedom. The fucking teabag nuts are ALL over this stupid thing about the daycare and crackers, and yeah, sure we have roaming lunchbox police you fuckwads.
I am free not to go bankrupt for medical care. Free to unlikely to ever be SHOT, free to make a decent wage and human rights and freedoms as our fucking charter says. Just because we don't have for profit healthcare and guns doesn't mean we're oppressed, toots.
Besides, the US isn't even remotely socialist. I suppose she gets annoyed at the weatherman telling her what the weather will be that day. She'd rather decide it for herself?
It comes on a day where a friend is struggling to afford a surgery her insurer won't touch for at least another 10 months. I might have to wait 6m for a tubal but it'll be covered. There's some kind of sucker punch being told to wait when you pay hefty premiums, and then being told to pay even more.
I just don't get the teabag/conservative mindset and there's just nothing I can see that will ever make me go "Oh, you have a point". Its spoiled baby-adults who are used to getting their own way by miracle of the fact they're almost uniformly white and fairly privileged. ( not rich, just a sense of fucking privilege)
As someone mentioned the other day, they resent government social services because they want to have it be donor charity based, but come on,like anyone would meet their standards for charity? Its a way to dodge giving a shit.
