Sep. 15th, 2013 05:03 amWas planning on going to the studio today and woke at 1030, dressed and ready to go by 11. Its only open till 3. Well, just as I get up, R decides THEN that he should walk the dog. Get a coffee. And then I make the epic mistake of trying to sync new music to my iphone, and it was noon before I was out the door. ( I'm partly fracked off by his not getting moving as much as my thinking the synch wouldn't take 45 fucking minutes). So out the door, at starbucks and realizing I've left solder and my locker padlock at home and I went back and called the day at the studio a wash.
Sunday...studio, after brunch.
So we went to Eaton Center for lunch and some shopping, and in the packed food court we find one table for two, and lo, there's a couple at the table next to it, and she's set her purse on the chair next to her, ( easily grab-able) and R asks if anyone's sitting there. She huffs and sighs and removes her purse and proceeds to give us the fucking stinkeye for the duration of our meal. HOW DARE we ask her, had I known she was going to stink about a polite request to let us use the unoccupied table, I'd have grabbed that purse and lobbed it. ( or I'd wish I did). WTF lady?
Just did Stirling's 4 am feeding and waiting for the wee bug to go back to sleep. He has a fondness for sleeping with the blankets over his head. No, really. He'll pull them up. And we yank them back.
Went to the jewelery supply place yesterday and it is right next door to my Obgyn's office so figuring that phoning for a followup post birth was a constant failure, I went in, and within 3 min had an appt booked. Instead of putting me on hold constantly. Haha!
Ok, bugboy is passed out. I've not been sleeping well since some epic scale tendonitis and joint pain in my back, hip, and wrists has roared up. I'm kind of still freaked out by the hands, because i've never had that before and I need my hands to work painfree, and uh, well, I have to go saw metal in about 8 hours. Oh, fun.
Stirling's pretty easy to handle. His meltdowns are rare ( usually hunger based) and he sleeps pretty much thru the night, and he's starting to smile and laugh, ( not gas, its pretty obvious), and I can see his sense of personality and self appearing, and now he's starting to be fun, not just this non stop eating and pooping machine. He's starting to interact with us and the world and its kind of fascinating to see that happening.
I do miss sleeping thru the night entirely and i miss some of the life pre baby but we're pretty good about giving each other time to do things that don't mean lugging a stroller. One of us stays home with him while the other goes for coffee or whatever. And we do stuff together too. Finally finding our groove as it were.
