Jan. 3rd, 2013 09:12 pmToday's the first day I'm feeling close to normal, even if I'm so far from it yet. Lemme phrase it this way, I've been at 10% for the last few weeks, and now I'm feeling close to 50%. Its an improvement.
We are planning what we need to do to baby-ready the house, but its not all that much, we aren't getting all the accoutrements of a baby's life, crib, clothing storage, stroller, playpen at most. Some re arranging and storage fixup, organization of a small space but we have no need of all the other STUFF. ( wipe warmer? nah. monitor? nah.)
So the biggest splurge is on the stroller since that's our main issue, transport in a city, no mondo massive SUV stroller in mind. They may be "cheap" but I loathe the Graco monsters. They're not maneuverable in small spaces. Going for one of the euro-brands, which we KNOW are built for odd sidewalks and subways and small spaces. No kid needs a stroller with 1 ton onboard storage and 4 cupholders, lets get real. I loathe watching people jam those monster sized ones on the crowded subway. it pisses me off.
So in 6 days next ultrasound, which should be the "all clear", or "catastrophic" one. Downs, of course. But I get irked at people thinking a baby after 35 means certain disaster, because no, its after 45....the charts always show this huge spike, because they're condensed down so much. Scare the women folk, right?
Finally feeling close to resuming work on the novel, and design work. Off this weekend to get a bag for classes ( got a new one but it's MUCH too small! arg) and then new comforter and towels. Got my new camera yesterday too.
Still tired, over exerted today a bit. Lost so much weight my ring doesn't fit me anymore, by .5-1.5 sizes!!! and basically at this point I'll hatch being close to a lower weight than when I started this stupid adventure. I am now glad I didn't lose extra weight BEFORE getting pregnant. I needed that reserve, it seems.
In a few days I might try tapering some of the meds. We'll see.
