So.
If you have a medical issue, at any point, and seek care, you may find yourself disqualified from future care.
And if you're a woman you can expect to have pregnancy riders, denials on well women care, pharmacists denying birth control, no access to abortion services, but men can get viagra covered, while you pay more for the privilige of a uterus....
AND the insurance premiums have gone up 87% over 5 years, while profits are up 487%
In a country ranked 37th on the WHO rankings,
while you pay twice what those countries pay, ( well your government does) and then you pay private premiums AND copays and fees, paying the system three times, and way more, for the joy of seeing:
at least 15% of your citizens unable to access ANY care
50% or more bankruptcies are due to medical costs
16000 die a year for lack of care
and how many more lose their insurance due to rising premiums, recissions, never mind the people who can't afford the care in the first place....
Tell me how this is a workable system framework in which to change things, when what's needed is a wholesale turfing?

Why anyone would be protective of private insurers, I just don't understand.
