Oct. 6th, 2009 11:02 pmMet up with Dylon Whyte, a fellow canadian chainmailler, while he was here in town. A wonderful visit.
We've had so much chance to meet people, and do things, that I still can't grasp the Halifax snotty retort "we're friendly, not like those TORONTONIANS!"
Even shared a friendly chat and laugh with two girls as we waited for the elevator, they with their elderly, yet wiggly dog. No one in halifax talked TO us. They sure talked AT us, and didn't expect a reply. hell, a reply would fairly offend.
It's such a refreshing change to not have to 'hide" where we're from, or keep to ourselves for fear of the from away backlash.
And well, people for the most part are damn friendly here. Genuinely.
Tomorrow: errands, chainmail, housecleaning. This weekend, buying new winter footwears and breakfast out, I think.
Tired, so off to bed darn early for me.
