Dec. 17th, 2013 02:10 amup late with allergies.Arggj.R will let me sleep in anyway. He's off on holidays so we're enjoying some extra time together no rushing around.
Daycare rep came by and we went thru all the documents. Its all fairly straightforward really. Stirling was well charming until the moment in my arms where he suddenly arched back and nearly out of my arms and OH MY GOD THE TEARS. He startled himself really well. I thought he'd hurt himself but nope, whew, just scared. A hug and kiss and cuddle and he was all smiles in short order.
I would go to complete pieces if anything happened to him. Its my dread, that the sickness of pregnancy has yet to catch up to us. I know I'm being ridiculous but...Upside: Sick Kids is one of the best in the world and its blocks from us. Can't get more secure than that! Whew.
R and I were talking coincidentally today about a guy we know from HS who had a kid, left the mom and kid, never paid a dime of support but seemed to still strut his stuff that he was a FATHER. dude...you abandoned your kid. That's just such a dick move I don't even have words. ( I dated him briefly but came to my senses fast he was a controlling, useless tit then and still is I think)
I just can't even grasp how one does this, leaves a kid and walks out of their life forever.
And day after day here I know how much Stirling is adored by us, by friends, by family, how people at the stores and starbucks always greet him by name. He's a very lucky kid.
Anyway. Should crash soon. Need to start using the time after he goes to bed, to write. Need life to be just a smidge less hectic hahahaha.
Oh and the wee goober is in a grabby phase and dragged a cereal bowl off my desk this am. RIP cereal bowl.
Tuesday is some baby-free time for me! laundry tomorrow evening, pack wednesday, bath him in the evening and off and running thursday am.
