Oh, Dear. Its like they really just can't fucking see, is it? Its laughable. Sir, it's your own organization's utter irrelevance in a modern, progressive society, your misogyny, your child abuse, your old patriarchal rules, the greed within while millions suffer a dreary sermon for scraps of food, the corruption in your agencies, the judgemental, political interfering, the temper tantrums when laws are not written to suit you.
And you consider reform of this sort, "re arranging the deck chairs." If the churches die out, it'll be of a huge benefit to society. You serve no purpose anymore, and people are not walking around in a state of glum for a lack of gawd.
I make no secret of my loathing for catholicism, the utterly rotten shit to the core thing that is. Nothing would be more wonderful than to see Catlick doctrine go permanently stuff itself.
Still amusing to see how persistently clueless they are. Blind to the abuse in their ranks, blind to the greed and corruption. Blind as blind ever gets. Don't anyone try to correct them, however. :D
I am happy, and proud to be raising a wee atheist boy.

Day one of the Gem show working Shelley's table. I don't know why she bothered, a small offering of kits, no business cards, no signs, and no planning on her part. I adore her but she is SO disorganised.
It was dreary attendance too. i got the "MY BOYFRIEND MAKES CHAINMAIL" girl, who is apparently by law, assigned in each city to each show I do. I got surly middle age woman, I got several crabbie grannies who interrogated me on "DO YOU MAKE A LIVING AT THIS?" well, I would if you didn't creep off to walmart. And it's none of yours to know.
two more days. and I'm knee deep in period hell. this should be fun. Made 10 bucks today That's IT. Shelley claimed they did 30 of the earring make and takes a day. I did 2. There wasn't ever at any point, more than 50 customers in the room at any time. It was DEAD.
I sold a set of pliers, for ten bucks less by mistake and I think Z the organizer, a friend of shelley's was PISSSSSSED. Lady, she left no fucking note. Get over it, i'll pay the diff. ( and essentially be working for $0!!!! not my fault your show is as dead as can be. I was just asked to run this table, and don't get sniffy with me.
boy has been fed, I'm crawling back to my nice toasty bed. Boy goes for second round of vaccinations monday, and we vote, in a by election for our district on monday. Tuesday classes. Wednesday - friday? No clue. a mail run perhaps, maybe the ROM or AGO.
R might be able to use some of his parental leave for a few weeks while I'm in school. This would buy us some time to get childcare sorted. I keep thinking nanny for 2 days a week is the answer. I don't think we'll find a daycare space.
