Dec. 8th, 2011 09:30 pmSo R pays off my visa with a massive consolidation loan, and we continue to use it for teensypurchases that i need during school: coffee, sawblades, textbooks.
Today it gets declined. I call, they go "you're over your limit." I go "yeah I doubt that."
She does some digging and while we DID pay off 8700 in october, ( yay halifax moving and uni debt?), we missed a payment in November. for the under 300 buck balance. Seriously???????
So what we'll do is put that visa on ice, figuratively but keep it open for adoption costs and R will get me on HIS mastercard line for the small things. I run up around $150 a month, but its small taters.
Adoption costs could run 10k, they could go to 60. I think we'd have to retreat at the 25k mark so we'll tread carefully, I guess. I really do think adoption is such a fucking racket and badly handled and benefits no one but the lawyers. It seems the people who lose are the kids and the prospective parents. Somehow that seems so cruel.
( of course lets NOT address that if you're a megafundy, you can pretty much seem to scoop kids up in bulk, right? yeah.)
In january we'll try again anyway, but again, realistic me is not placing any wagers.
Classes almost done for the term, 1 week to go, got a huge amount of my final project done, wrote a fairly simple exam, had words with a prof, and basically the worst is over for this term. Next term, I'll continue to do my workplan and assignmnent tracking, and plan to spend every other weekend at the studios.
Now, to do some silly tech drawing "shade in the shapes!" homework, and do some writing.
