May. 1st, 2011 11:22 amMay 1. 5 weeks till I head home. One week is spent in london, may 11-15th (returning to NL on the 16th) and one week at the end will be a crazy "shop and finish seeing all the things!" week, one weekend ( a friday/sat) in utrecht, and a day in rotterdam, and one in den haag.
So its going to whip by, because i had more plans for this month and I'm not sure where april went at ALL.
I was going to go in to AMS tomorrow but trying to minimize my train travel to stretch my OV chipkaart as much as possible, I'm in for class on tuesday, so I think rijksmuseum it is, and friday I'll go in a bit early and see something else, before hopping the train to Utrecht, rather than spend another 7.50 euro on a round trip.
I want to go back to the Teyler here, and Het Dolhuys and the Molen Adriaan are here too, so between all of it, I still have plenty to occupy my time.
My throat and sinuses are dry and raw, the wind has been blowing and its hot and dry, and its making me fairly miserable. It hasn't rained much.
dutch people on twitter are poking the resident racist politician kook for mis spelling his dutch tweets, and asking if he needs a newcomer's integration course. heee. Most people seem to think he's just a rude barmy fuckwit. I suppose his supporters are much a minority. ( hope so.)
anyway. Think I might get food and get studying, and monday, we'll see what adventure awaits.
37 days left. I remember being in Bemmel and thinking 70 days was a never ending number. But I am glad I did this trip, tho as frustrating and challenging as I never quite expected, its been...good. really good.
I will kind of think I always have a home here, and its more or less true.
