Feb. 13th, 2011 12:06 amWrenched my back/shoulder muscle somehow, sleeping weird, and it's causing ache all over as I over compensate for the achy not wanting to move bits.
HURTY HURTY HURT.
So naturally the best plan today was to go to IKEA and lift HEAVY THINGS!!!!!
We booked a zipcar ( a van) and then off we went. of course, I don't read the directions fast enough and we circle around like idiots in the hellacious roads of missisauga and finally get there. R's driving style tends to leave me fairly green, especially when he's annoyed.
Dinner, and then armed like sane folk, with a list of things to get, and items to consider, we moved forth into the fray. Alas, it was "go sit and torment the furniture and horse around" day. Saturday, of course, mid afternoon. Crazymaking, really.
We got a new lamp for the bedroom as there's NO light fixtures in the livingroom or bedroom, at all, and a bedside wee light for me. Some larger glasses for the kitchen, some rack/storage bitsnbobs, and a dresser. OH HALLELUHJAH a dresser. We've lived with clothes heaped hither and yon for almost 4 years since leaving Vancouver and now we have a proper dresser.
I've been trying to clean up and organize the place post move-in, and R finally hung art along the hall, and slowly, it looks like we live here not like we crash landed here.
We have some more organisation to go, living in a small apartment, we'll have to get creative, we want some kind of fold out bed sofa dealy for the main room, tho I suspect that may be a challenge unless we profoundly re arrange things!
Dogmonster is halfway through her antibiotic course and things seem to be returning to normal for dog, aside from horking up last night's dose. ( swell, pup).
so i'll do an hour of dutch study, and more tomorrow, and a hot shower to un knot my back.
2 weeks to israel. AHHH.
