R booked a zipcar little SUV for tomorrow so we can get some small things and essentials moved first, and leave the heavy lifting to movers.

I just so want this to be done. We haven't had a lot of packing to do, owing to the major move purges, but moving means finally getting out of this place and its multiple elevator wait, and no more shopping at Ghettomart Food basics where the clerks are beyond fucking stupid. One of em, who we try to avoid, never can get through an entire transaction, she gets distracted, stops to chat, make a call, noodle round...

I had to go there today and it was an ordeal. R was there later and it was an ordeal. they have 8 checkouts but only ever 1 or 2 cashiers.

Its THE grocery mart for damn near 200 000 residents in a small area and so ok, its going to look sketchy round the edges but jumping fuck on a pogo stick, its an ORDEAL.

i never need to get stuck behind a half senile old woman arguing about pennies on the ham hock she wants, or the woman who flipped a gasket over 7 c of a squash.

We also get lots of shop owners and restauranteurs who wisely, but arrghh, come in and buy up by the palletload.

Anyway. 24 hr grocery store ( Metro!) and a 24 hr shoppers. Damn hell YEAH.

And its been barely a week before someone busted the laundry card reader presumably to rob it or just hey, bust it.

I am dying to get back to swimming and time on a treadmill. ( i really need to be in shape for all the travelings.)

Anyway. not much left, some stuff in the kitchen and stray items. Tired now. Saturday, transit! with DOG!
