Aug. 21st, 2009 10:07 amWe got a notice yesterday that the wellesley apt sprawls are getting new elevators, finally. They've put this thing out for tender, for replacing like, 50 elevators, at least.
which is good because these ones are in critical condition, and if they want the buildings to remain habitable...gotta fix em.
I guess they've deteriorated a considerable amount in the last few months. Anyway. I don't expect a fast fix, but I'm happy they're going to. The elevators now are...slow, clunky, malfunctioning and well, it doesn't help that meatheads sometimes punch the button panels and the doors.
Ah well.

Aug. 21st, 2009 01:05 pmI think my costume now may only amount to getting a lab coat from the uni bookstore and slapping a torchwood patch on it.
I am completely de motivated to do anything more.
off to go watch TV and make more shiny stuff. And R will bring home my supply order from the post box downtown later, just in time for me to use all of that up.
Didn't sleep well. The extreme weather changes cause hell on my sinuses and then R sat on me by accident, ( don't ask).
