Reading an article re a local agricultural fair axing the agriculture part of said fair.

Lots of cries over how those goshdarn city folk are so lazy! they don't know where food comes from.

I find this entertaining since some of the selfsame commenters are too lazy to take an elevator in the store. Most of the "no, don't take away the animals" comes FROM city folk.

I confess I don't get this division, because where I'm from ( here we go) there's been a lot of effort to connect city/rural people. Not here, us city folks is bad. Us CFA city folks is even worse.

Academic advisor is happy with my progress, she's had a couple students also hit by the Terrible Term of 09, so I'm not alone. Anyway, she put the bug in my head, along side R, what if I finished my degree overseas? Why not?

I'd SO move, I really want to raise goats and ducks and live by the sea. ( ok, or live on a boat, but no goats there, they'd fall off.)

eeek. Clerical error saw two prisoners set free this week. This happens SO often I'm wondering what kind of clerks they hired for this job, because someone's fucking the dog on this one.

When I get a chance, I might set up a travel tales comm, because I KNOW there's stories out there, of what went wrong, what went perfectly, what to see. I love hearing this sort of stuff, because sometimes the guidebooks can be oh, so wrong. ( lonely planet SF? bad. London and LA, very good.)

Whee. new ipod tomorrow. Hoping to put dutch and welsh language apps on there, found a welsh-english dictionary on itunes too. BBC has downloads as well.

Caught the bus after my dentist appt yesterday, only vaguely aware that the freezing made me look a bit like a gargoyle, oops.

Next paycheck goes to my tuition. Fun and fun. Not.

Our dental benefits cover most of the work I need, and 50% of straightening. Since mine teeths aren't vastly wonky, this might put it in the range of affordable, at least.

Once classes are over, get taxes sorted too.

Off to work I go. ( still feeling kicked in the head, that tooth DID NOT go without a fight. damn.)
