Because in the not really far future I’ll be summoned back to my Oma’s funeral. I mean she’s close to 90 now, and I’m being honest, I haven’t spoken with her directly since before S was born. She has dementia. She’s not who she was. In a way I’ve pre-grieved the loss.
But for appearances, as much as I’d be fine moving on, i will have to go back, a 9 hr flight, likely with S. The logistics are not pleasing.
We wait. It will absolutely kick off a legal estate battle and i’m just ugghh over that.
Especially since I’m certain most of the fam doesn’t know we moved to the netherlands, either.
