Sep. 8th, 2013 10:32 pmToday was brunch as usual, at our usual spot, and then off to the AGO to see the Ai Wei Wei exhibit before it leaves. I was hoping to see it, and did! I knew it was coming, while I was sick, and I was envious of R's forays to the museum and gallery while I was laid out.
Stirling did fantastically well all day, we walked from the restaurant to Eaton Ctr, a quick feed and change ( thank heavens the food court redo has washroom stalls with change tables, some of the older bathrooms the change table is right by the door).
I didn't know exactly how stroller/baby friendly the AGO was but the staff were fantastic and friendly and joked about our wee art critic who napped for the whole afternoon. It was especially moving when I have Stirling in the stroller, looking at the wall of 5000 names of kids killed in an earthquake in 2008.
Some great art, I really like his work. Next month a huge Bowie exhibit is in, and we'll go to that too. I can't wait for the day Stirling's old enough to partake of the dinos at the ROM or the kid interactive stuff both places offer.
In Atlanta, without the bug, we went to the High Museum for a bit to see their dutch masters exhibit, and saw some art that I swear I'd seen in Amsterdam and Haarlem, and Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, which I missed seeing in Den Haag because I didn't know my uncle was going to the Mauritiushaus museum, and he left me with my idiot aunt at the Pasar Malam fair to shop. Ah well.
Saw lots of city babies in strollers out for the day. Lots of walking. Walked by City hall for another Wei wei installation that I didn't want to miss.
