Aug. 23rd, 2013 08:37 pmSterling's 1month appt, he's 11.2 pounds and basically 75th percentile for size, growth, weight, including his big Murray head. ( the murrays have big heads) I knew he was getting bigger but whoa.
He was busy trying to pinch the doctor when Doc was listening to his heart. Pinchy baby. We've started laying him on his belly now and then to get him lifting his big ol head and he's doing ok with it.
Things are falling into patterns, we're less flummoxed and exhausted, I'm napping still because I get up at night with him, and that whole recovery thing.
I can sleep on my stomach now! I missed that. Belly is still shrinking, I'm already 4 notches in on a smaller belt, about to move to notch 5....holy carp.
This weekend, houseclean, some last minute con prep, find some missing merch. Mom arrives tuesday and we're off wednesday am. Upside, the ab muscles are feeling better, I'll still need a recharge nap once vendor hours close but I'm feeling SO MUCH BETTER.
Its weird, being housebound sick for so long I feel I lost a year of my life. Its nice being back amongst the living. With a cute little one. Fuck this is a hard thing to do, raising a kid, but he's kind of weaponsgrade cute and I'm ok with that. ( not that I'd ever do this again, oh no. once I'm recovered we talk tubal ligation, kids.)
