Aug. 3rd, 2013 05:42 pmc sec scar is a bit irritated, so it was off to the walk in clinic to get antibiotics for that, then we went for brunch, where the staff went gaga over Stirling, having seen me weekly thru the pregnancy they were just so happy, it was sweet.
THEN a short break at home to feed and change the wee monster and walked to eaton center to do some much needed shopping. I was fairly worn out by the time we got home but two weeks after a c sec and I'm doing that much walking? awesome.
Getting out of the house is helping my mood. I don't think I have post partum depression, I'm in shock, body and mind wise being able to eat and move more or less normally after 10 months of sickness. Looking in the mirror at the change room at Old Navy revealed how thin I've gotten and while this was a goal weight, it was not the method I wanted. I lost a lot of muscle too.
Getting out and active is doing wonders for my mood, the little "glooms" that hit which I think are in part from the anesthesia and the oxycodone, clearing my head is good.
And getting into mobile shape for dcon, which is good. I like taking Stirling out in the stroller, he zonks in it like whoa.
Yesterday at his doc appt he lost some weight, so we've been told to increase his feeding, which has decreased the yowling, and we're all generally getting 8 hrs sleep a night, broken up by two feedings.
Physically, recovery is still slow, and my body doth remind me how trashed it is.
