May. 12th, 2013 04:45 pm30 weeks. Probably only 7-8 to go at most. Bub is measuring several weeks ahead in growth, and a new complication looms, I failed the 1 hr gestational diabetes test and one of the indicators is a larger than "standard" size baby. SO. Since the muppet is about at least 3 weeks ahead of himself, its one more argument to induce before he's too big.
I do the three hr gd test this week and I expect to fail that. Funny thing is, if bitter irony is funny, the diet to control GD is nearly opposite what I've been eating to manage the lack of weight gain. Its a double whammy of conditions to manage so I think there's more in my favor to inducing early then.
Next weekend we book a carshare and go get the stroller, co sleeper, and a diaper pail. Time better zip by, I'm tired of this pregnancy now.
Inducing runs the risk of csec, so it may come down to elective c sec as I've heard its just a bit easier to recover from that instead of laboring for ages THEN csec. We'll see. I wish this doc would broach the subject soon but he's always a bit dodgy about it. I see him this week so I expect this close to it all, there's going to be talk. Both conditions resolve themselves with birth so......no sense tormenting me to 40 weeks.
I have my dcon booth help, which I'll really rely on this yr.
Gonna go watch Dr who, and do more resting. I remembered I was going to write the ultra shorts for the freebee chapbook so I guess that better get started too. Arg. So much to do so little energy!
