(no subject)

Today we got dumped with one major assignment and a smaller one in goldsmithing. Add in the upcoming practicals and I'm starting to feel some major pressure. I hate cuttlefish casting, it's smelly, ugly, labor intensive.

But what amazes me is the number of people who passed the first term and "oh I didn't hand in all these assignments!" sorts. HOW????

And G, she can't design worth shit, we have a set of parameters for the project: sterling, 15g weight, pendant or brooch, three dimensional. And she shows me two sketches I know flat out will get rejected because they're foolishly complicated and not within the parameters of the project. She really cannot design.

I have one that I think works, so I'll do up my documents we need to present, this weekend. Get shit done. I'm going in on saturday to get work done. I've had a day where 4 hours and I feel like nothing got done. It does things to my self confidence.

I seemed to have missed Feb 8th's song so Edge of Dawn: Save my soul, for that day, ( part of seabound, I thought his voice was familiar somehow. Really liking what they've done. picked up 5 songs of theirs.)

feb 9th: Necessary Response: spilling blood. A vampy song, no?

Off to do edits. Had an awesome but short visit with Butterbee, and that made an arrgg day pretty good.

today was fairly low key. Got some studio work done, and gem lab, I really enjoy it but when there's 15 stations to test at, PEOPLE. DO NOT TAKE 20 MIN PER FUCKING STATION. 5 min is all you should need. Last week it was people hoarding the refractometer and diamond tester stations. MOVE IT ALONG FOR FUCKS SAKE.

( no one's going to let you ponder for 20 min on is it fake or real. I'm pretty adept at narrowing down the fakes, uncannily so.)
