went to call mom today and her friend at work answered the phone.

"hey! nico! how was israel..hey...i have questions..." she's off to Qatar for a holiday shortly and was quite nervous over being in a somewhat tumultuous middle east at the best of times.

I did a bit of research and talked to her a bit and reassured her that as far as we could tell on the news, Qatar was quite stable, and gave her some finer points of visiting a country where they don't have our sense of not so much modesty. I love north america but it was a relief to not see ass crack and ho wear. Seriously, some of the women were quite modestly covered and they looked great.

I prefer the half-starkers beach wear to stay on the beach, silly me, right?

But yeah, sent her some info and I think she'll have a fantastic time.

I half wonder if I should simply be in business offering guided overseas tours for newbie travellers and travel reassurance consultations! My fallback now, I guess, if I fail utterly as a jeweler!
