I'm rather glad for my break from the bonds of Office Drudgery, if only to be rid of the nonsensical "35 min lunch hour".

because I naively walked into College Park Mall to grab food and it was like a panicked apocalyptic lions feasting on the savannah madness as women in dress heels and and tense faces scurried to purchase lunches and consume them in the scant time given. ( seriously, by the time you go buy, or heat food, sit, eat, and return to the office, you're at a dead run.)

Oddly the men didn't seem as frenetic, is it the last vestige of that whole "women as admin, men in jobs that allow for more leisurely lunch" thing.

Either way, it was just insanity and I realize I'm there smack dab at noon on a -15c day where everyone's taken to the subterrainean city to escape the cold and I am NOT interested in that much hassle for food right now.

( we are in woeful need of groceries today as is.)

Winter can kindly move along now. We've had little snow, relatively, but these fiendish spikes into the -15 range are really insane. It should be warming up by end of week.
