got script refills and flu shot at the doc today. Happily, he seems to grok that I've had asthma for much longer than he's been a doctor, and is very much on the same level as me re management. awesome.

Got a flu shot, and after waiting the requisite "ten minutes to make sure you don't spontaneously combust or become a zombie" wait, I headed downtown, achy arm and all, to do some shopping.

And bypassing much of the traffic/transit re routings on for a massive police funeral for a policeman killed here last week when, I guess, a homeless, mentally ill man stole a snowplow and ran it across the city, and the officer tried to stop it, and was killed. ( oddly some entitled titmonkeys on twitter were whinging over the transit delays.oh boo hoo.)

I'm starting to believe people are acting more and more entitled every day, in the age of "gimme all I want, the way I want it, when I want it." Perhaps raised on the belief that life is like a harveys burger bar, some people are just never happy with good service, they want THE BEST.

Sigh. I do not like those people.

Anyway. The pics I saw of the funeral were astounding. We in canada don't lose many officers in a year, as a whole ( avg of 3) so I'm glad he got the honors he deserved.

I live in a country of considerable freedom and human rights as a citizen, to marry, determine my own reproductive rights ( well, more or less, given my wacky situation), employment and labor laws that protect me from exploitation, health care that is never denied, a country that values peacekeeping and diplomacy alongside military, and while I'm not crazy foaming patriotic, I believe this is the way a country should be run,for the benefit of ALL, not just the high income earners.

anyway. Shopping after a flu shot, didn't do much, pants, a new sleepwear set, and three pairs of "canada rocks" knickers. If the TSA decides they gotta see my underpants....:D

I do need a new bathrobe. I got rid of so many clothes when we moved, and I haven't really ever bought much in the past but I'm learning to BUY CLOTHES, dammit.

Achy and tired, probably all the antibody manufacture goin on. Yay me! ( upcoming: a pnuemonia vax to prevent any repeat of last time in europe, and whatever is needed for china. Jab jab jab. i've gotten more vaccinations in the last year, half expect that Jenny Mccarthy Bitch on my doorstep yelling too many, too soon!!!

Got some jewelery sketch work done, and by the weekend I'll be doing an enamel run, i think.
