think it'll be another few days before lungs are back to their non irritated/non swamp monster self but definitely feeling better.

i have to finish my dutch presentation today ( a woordspin: basically ten simple sentences, and some pictures.) Half done already. Won't take long.

And arrange the deposit for the april show I'm in, and register online for level 2 dutch.

Basically that's it for the day, and some mailing out that has to go out.

Last night we got a very clear message as to why we're moving when the lease is up ( move a month before con? SURE! we've done it before!): the damned fucking elevator went to 22, and then promptly refused to budge, so we had to get off that one, go down, catch another. Apparently it was dripping and leaking water, so water damage may have shorted it, because the light for our floor never stayed lit and flickered and the door would open a smidge and then not move.

rumor has it they're starting replacememt work in april but with frequently 2 elevators only functioning, and one often hogged up by the maintenance staff, it's going to severely suck. ( no, really, one working elevator for a 33 floor building? SURE! FABULOUS.

it makes the dcon marriott elevator thing pale in comparison, really.

ok, back to sleep for a little bit, woke up only to feed self some decongestant/coffee stuff. Might take the liberty of buying some decongestant chemicals at the drug store as that seems to help with the irritated swamplung thing. ( lungs get irritated if I forget my inhaler, lungs produce swamp goo in reaction, inflammation dies off, and now we're in the wretched getting rid of swamp goo phase, which if I was on prednisone, would happen anyway. My breathing's not bothered by it but damn if I don't feel like I've been kicked in the lungs.)

And that's dutch level one, done, 3 more levels to go, upon which I shall possess both mad language skill ( i hope) and a University of Toronto School of Continuing studies language certificate.

And probably enough mad skill to pass the "inburgering" exam that they ask of, which is from the materials I've seen so far, a fairly simple language skills test.

Anyway. we should pick up speed as the slowest have backed out of continuing on, and there was one guy that could barely function in english, and was just out of his depth in rudimentary dutch. Poffertjes obsessed guy isn't in( seriously, every class he'd wax poetic about wanting to make some in class for us, or googling recipes, or all his assignments poffertje related.

My lungs are finally "drying out", and I think if I actually get some sleep for the next few nights things will be back to normal.

I have an appt now with the specialist mid may upon hopefully we get some kind of answer, and halifax infirmary may yet provide the note I need for transcripts so maybe things might be turning. Of course, HI could totally screw the pooch, and the doctors could say "there's nothing wrong" but in one case I'll nudge them for the note, and in the other we'd start investigating adoption and on we go, right?

going to go do some chain work and then fall into hopefully a dead sleep.
