Beware of Falling ice, snow and people
Jan. 3rd, 2010 07:56 pmHad a restless, miserable night, so I spent it in a half doze. Unfun.
930 am we were woken by a knock at the door, Toronto Police. Aw crap did old guy bitch again? No...actually, they were canvassing our side of the building every floor because turns out that soneone apparently fell to their death during the night.
Look off the balcony, and the victim is under an orange sheet, directly where our "row" of balconies are.
They ask to go out on ours, and we comply, unfortunately lots of people here are new to canada and fear police so won't open the door. We say honestly, no, we heard NOTHING.
Anyway, they roped off a vast part of the back area where he fell, and they were there most of the day.
We saw one of the police cars leaving the scene * when we headed out on a food raid) and trying to break the yellow tape by driving thru it but it woudn't break. So he tries to lift it over his car( caught on the side view mirror) and it gets stuck on the bank of lights on the roof. We help him disentangle the car...heh.
Accident? Murder? Suicide? who knows.
