Sep. 21st, 2009 01:47 amWe managed to drag our semi fried heads from bed today, got groceries, did 3 loads of laundry, ( and more awaits) got the kitchen cleaned and the floors mostly swept. R slept horribly, coughing, and then we had a fire alarm at 5 am.
Now, I'm on the 33rd floor. Evac, of any kind is patently going to be a challenge. So I checked that I didn't smell or see fire or smoke and went back to sleep.
I have to go downtown tomorrow to get a new comforter from sears, and we need hangers. Slowly getting some semblance of domesticity here.
I've firmly made up my mind that once i'm finished my undergrad degree, we're off to europe. Do a masters in wales, and then either stay there or move to holland. I'd still love to live on a boat, but more so if we were heading west coast canada, which i don't see happening.
Still want to learn to sail, still not ruling out stints on boats.
Finished a necklace, off to bed. Will be glad to do another order of rings mid oct, to start doing duplicate pieces for store and dragoncon.
Unlike halifax, I feel like most days here i've more to do than time to do it. Not complaining. Life is so much simpler here than it ever was in Halifax.
