I'm done 27 of 75 hackies! I can do about 3-4 a day and there's 80 days to dragoncon.

I'm running low on rings, but I should be able to easily finish that quota of hackies on time. I'm getting very well stocked on bracelets and necklaces, and wallet chains. Basically all that is left is some pendants, keychains and stretchy little bracelets.

R has found a number of places in TO, that are smack downtown, near the university and hospital, and are fairly ideal for what we're looking for.

With some paychecks stashed, and if I get my income tax done, and money from mom, I feel a shade less frantic. It'll be a tight few months first landing there, but it's been like that here from day one. We just aren't getting ahead here anyway.

So time to switch to some smaller gauge metals and do a necklace, spiral, and a pendant, I think, and put in a ring order, and call it a day.

My jaw still aches. I have one more major dental issue to take care of but I suspect it'll have to hold on till after we move. One minor filling I'll get taken care of tho, sometime in the next few weeks.

We're looking at taking the train to atlanta. 2 day trip, and way cheaper than flying. ( and less fuel!)

Once in TO, arrange credit card processing for booth, some display magic, and get new business cards and stickers. I may not do a new postcard since we have SO many from last year and cash is tight. Maybe if we can get those things ordered soon so we're not paying rush charges...

I guess it's no surprise I don't sleep well these days.

Just spotted a pigeon snoozing on the balcony. We have a sprayer bottle to zap them and as I got him, he gave a very startled little hoot and flew off.

Sorry guys. But the noise he made was pretty damn funny. Sort of the same noise people make when someone zaps you with a sprayer.

a year of FT tuition at U of T is the same as one fucking TERM at dal, FT. INCLUDING all the extra fees.

Damn hell! DAMN HELL I SAY.

They have much more to offer re: study abroad, undergrad research opportunities, clubs on campus. Holy carp.

They don't offer a marine sciences degree or oceanography, but as soon as we hit TO, I'll start working on transfer. I will be taking some time to catch up in math and chem, maybe get admission for january or summer term in TO. Give me time to get some income together too.

Anyway. I think I'm insanely excited now. Dalhousie's been SUCH a letdown.

R has been "we'd like to make an offer". So we're into salary negotiations now. I will probably tell boss person that we're in the downtown TO area, she'll find a store for me to transfer to, whoo.

Gonna go sleep. Teeths finally not so hurty from shifting a bit after the extraction.

Ate too many mangled wafer cookies. Erk.

There's an intro dutch course starting in oct at U of T, ( cont. ed) and I want to find a math course. Chem I might actually be able to review and upgrade on my own.

So there's mutterings in the works about moving not end of july, not mid, but first week of.

Bring it ON, baby. It's one week pushed up from the expected departure, but if he's got a concrete offer, then fuck yeah lets blow this place!

Which means really now, I have to get fed, get caffienated, get packing. Was in a dead sleep when R woke me to tell me of the offer, then another dead sleep when dog leapt on bed and pawed at me woefully, unsure if I was alive? waking me up.

I should hit the dollar store for some stiffer wire to make bird spikes for the rail, they've pretty much given up on our balcony as hostile. Awesome.

Evidently the dental work WAS covered, because we left without paying and no one's said a blessed word. Thanks to sedatives, I don't exactly recall the cab ride home, and I'm vaguely aware of having us gone to get food and soft snacks, but blessedly, it's all a non traumatic haze. Just the way I like it.

Ok, it's monday, the day's burning away and I have now a metric butt tonne of work! Hey, I packed up the Vancouver apt in 3 days, I CAN DO ANYTHING in 30.

ordered rings for cel charms, keychains, some custom orders.

one of my largest orders ever.

Gonna make coffee, do some chainmail and some packing up.

Those little items are hot sellers off the table so this year I'm going in with buckets of stock. Ordered a book on rubber/stretchy ring designs, so I might even squeak in a few of those, and some bookmarks with chainmail danglies.

Congrats, halifax, you horrified my Oma. Basically, how COULD you have no sewage processing?

Since they removed the filters from the outlets into the harbor, suddenly one's urge to be near that waterfront for tallships is less than appealing.

I mean, it smells bad now, it's going to be sinister by July.

Anyway. Packed some books, and I'm trying to shake a sinus/post dental surgery headache and failing horribly.
