Odds are I'll be "pulling their asses out of the fire" again.

They have no saturday graveyard shift person. I'm in 5-11, saturday, but with some re arranging I could do say, 10-8 am or whatev.

Why? Because manager was having chest pain and arm numbness when she went to the hospital ER. File under "bad shit". And I could use every penny now to get my tuition paid and my driver's licence.

( in other news, I have a new goal for the points I'm saving up. my work gives "points on purchase" that you redeem later. Play the game right and you can rack em up. We're kind of contemplating "freaklet....round 3: this time nothing will go wrong")

Anyway. Gonna do a late nighter to study.

And it really is a poke in the eye to the woman who didn't want to hire me. So help me, it's a fucking job perk to make her squirm a bit.

took a chunk out of my exam review. Need to do a LOT more. I said i'd cover that overnighter if i'm given some leeway to study when it's dead quiet.

The pigeons are making woo noises on the balcony. I have yet to clean the damn thing and i guess if they're gettin busy, then it might be disruptive to them. Sorry guys.

NS has the highest rates of cancer. They're looking in to why.

To be honest off the top of my head: lack of healthy affordable food ( no such beast as a salad bar here), the much higher obesity and smoking rates, unlike what I saw in BC, a very significant chunk of the population is quite obese, the polluted water ( no sewage treatment) and the polluted air ( coal electricty).

Just, y'know, a good guess. The grounds outside the IWK kids hospital are utterly blanketed in cig butts, from not worried parents but STAFF.

Yup I'm doing the backshift tomorrow. Sam called in sick tonight ( no freaking wonder, she's worked 8 days back to back) and J, the one who was sent to hospital for stress, is covering tonights.

She's PISSED at the manager, who we all know can't hire for shit, so she's getting on the horn and hiring people TODAY. I'll be training someone tomorrow.
