Jan. 4th, 2009 02:30 pmTurns out our detector was supposed to be replaced in 2004. R did a bit of looking to see if it had a sensitivity level to adjust.
Like, seriously, steaming veggies 10 feet away on low boil set it off.
Bah.
Sera found a huge, untouched snowbank and bellyflopped in. I found a swath she'd mowed, on a previous walk. ( well, R asked, who do you think did that!?:D)
Classes tomorrow, but a gentler start, first class, only class, at noon. No more brain breaking 9 ams for me. Whee. Do the reading for the first two lectures, I think. I have to really be sure not to get behind, juggling a fixed-time job and classes. i was so close to an A in oceanography this term ( had I not blown the second of the three exams.)
An A is the goal here. Anything in the A range. I am fairly consistently in the B's at least.
